NaKita attended Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2001. In 2009, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University Theological Seminary and Graduate School. After graduating from Liberty University, she attended Florida State University where she earned a Master of Social (MSW) degree in 2011. She is currently a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Florida and qualified to provide supervision for registered clinical social work, mental health, and marriage and family interns.


NaKita served in the Florida Army National Guard for 10 years, with five of those years as a Behavioral Health Specialist. She previously worked as a school social worker for Polk County Public Schools in the Homeless Education program for nine years and has provided mental health counseling since 2016. She utilizes elements of  Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to provide counseling to clients age 0-5, adolescents, and adults.
